I received my 64-Ounce Klean Kanteen today. The box was placed inside a plastic bag by the carrier indicating it had been leaking. All I can think of is that this is the green liquid I've seen in the other reviews. The bottle is not 18/8 stainless steel as indicated. A magnet sticks to it. This is not the case with all my other Klean Kanteen bottles. It appears quality has hit rock bottom. I am thoroughly disappointed. The sides are much thinner and the bottle feels generally cheap. It appears that Klean Kanteen has gone with the lowest bidder and got what they paid for. All the other bottles I bought for myself, friends and family have been a great product that will last forever. I'm hoping this is the exception and not the rule.

I use this bottle every day. I use it for water or diet soda. Since it's insulated, it keeps water cold for hours. And soda doesn't go flat or get warm. I also bought the cafe wide mouth cap, and it is a must-have for sipping, since the standard loop cap just twists off to reveal the steel bottle, which probably isn't too much fun to drink from. I bought this bottle in the summer, so I haven't tried hot drinks, yet, but I'm sure I'll enjoy hot teas in it next fall and winter. I recommend spending a little more to get this insulated bottle.

There's a flaw in the 27oz design that allows water to collect in the ridges of the bottle underneath the cap, and unless you wipe it off everytime you open it, it drips all over your pants. People are starting to think I'm incontinent. Which I am, but it's usually not apparent thanks to the special underpants I wear.

This bottle was as advertised except that the cap is very finicky. As an adult, it takes me 2-3 tries to get a tight fit when I close it. And my son (age 5) found it almost impossible to get the threads to line up for a real, tight seal. The result was spilled water every day. We are giving up and replacing this with another bottle.

Strange when you read about their first bottle in Chico to how hard they strive today they still fall short from simply saying, "yes, we are doing business with China, they manufacture our bottles and our efforts to meet environment standards are the standards of China not what the typical American would think are environmental standards". Oh, but they have recycled stationary. The belching factories of China are creating far more harm than your plastic American made water drinking bottles. Remember BPA is only a problem when you leave liquid in there for extended amounts of time (days) or leave them in the hot sun. Geez, who wants to drink something that has been in any bottle for days or has been sitting in the sun?
Do not buy China produced products and demand that companies be forthright about how they are doing business.
